“土豆”不是与“马铃薯”都叫kang-tâng吗？

kang-tâng倒没有听过，多用hô-lâng-tsṳ̂

排日叫“豌豆”做tuā-tāu ，而hô-liang-tāu是许号佮koih豆腐浆其黄豆过然许种，过时过节合红菜头煮做蜀下húr-hŏ 。

以前就叫kang-tâng
现在很多人就叫hô-lang-tsṳ̂

漳泉話區的永春縣、安溪縣一帶，也有叫干冬薯。另外，我不記得漳泉話區的什麼地方，也有叫荷蘭薯的。

问音调，可就难倒我了。khang同康，tang同陈。uang同王，phi为阴人。
补充一个石榴的另一种说法：ang hue。

âng-hue是红花，石榴花也，有些地方用来指石榴植株全体。但应该不会用来指石榴的果实吧。

kang-tâng在揭阳是常用词，倒是没有人用荷兰薯。不过少年家也会说马铃薯或土豆了。

刘尧咨先生在《说潮州话》218页指出此词来自马来语kengtang。经查询，应为kentang，马来-印尼语中常见。不过尚不明白此词是否马来-印尼原产。看到NationMaster网站一段关于土豆的介绍：

Etymology

The English word potato comes from Spanish patata, ultimately from Nahuatl potatl, potentially its first name.
