An 1866 writing from Java

I read the first volume of 通報 (1890) and found an article written in German by Gustav Schlegel with a piece of writing by 陳欲報 accusing Captain 呂歧太 of his wrong doings. That piece was spread in Java back in 1866 and Schlegel happened to get a copy of it.

In the writing, 迫使妻妾賣賤之, 之 refers to "chi-bai" as explained by Schlegel. 削示 refers to "eye witness", an imitation of the Malay sound. I can understand some German. but with online translation, I roughly get what his article is all about.

Snapshots included here. The last snapshot is Schelgel's rendering of the first part in Amoy (Zhangzhou accent clearly).
